Charity Auction, 2012
Our inspiration for this wreath is based on our philosophy of adaptive re-use, using material samples and scrap material to create an abstracted, mid-century modern wreath that is as much sculpture as it is a symbol of the holiday season.
The wreath is constructed out of discarded 3Form material samples in shades of green, white, clear, and silver. The samples are layered in a circular pattern to play up the transparency, colors, and textures which are common in a classic wreath. The walnut panel and stand-offs are made from a piece of scrap wood that frames the wreath while providing space for LED lights to illuminate the wreath.
Special thanks to 3form and Greatlakes Architectural Millworks for their material donations.
